Its like alot of things in life, sometimes a person just gets lucky. I found this fox den while out scouting for wildflowers to photograph, I spent several days with this family of kits. While sitting in our blind photographing Prairie Chickens a Coyote happens to come into the lek and gives us photographers opportunities to capture several images of him before he exits the lek. But I still say, the more hours in the field the "luckier" a photographer becomes!

MCY-9022: Coyote stare-This coyote (Canis latrans) was walking with a purpose and looking straight in front of where he was going. I pursed my lips and gave a little "squeal" and without loosing a beat he looked in our direction, the motor drives were really humming and we all got some great images of a hard to get species in the wild.
