Sandhill Cranes

Most of these Sandhill Crane (Grus Canadensis) images were photographed at Crex Meadows WMA and Fish Lake WMA near Grantsburg, WI. The peak of the migration usually occurs around late October until early November, commonly 5,000 to 10,000 Sandhill Cranes will use both of these areas as a stop over before continuing their journey further south.
